Exhumations 2026
The Valle de los Ángeles Funeral Home announces that this year's exhumations will take place from March 23 to 27, 2026.
Those who have purchased or intend to schedule an exhumation or exhumation-cremation service should take the following into account:
- They must go to the funeral home's Hospitality offices, located at 31 Oriente #1212, Col. Ladrillera de Benítez, by February 20, 2026, to generate the corresponding Service Order (SO) and schedule the date of the exhumation.
- In cases of exhumation-cremation, the cremation time will be assigned at the end of the exhumation at the Valle de los Ángeles Funeral Park, depending on availability at the funeral home, as priority will be given to the services of families who are mourning their loved ones.
Documentation required to schedule a Service Order (S.O.):
- Death certificate
- Title of the lot contract
- Exhumation or cremation contract (duly settled)
- Official identification (INE) of the account holder with a copy of both sides or a simple power of attorney where the account holder authorizes the opening of the account and a photo of the account holder holding their INE at neck height.
- Conservation and Gardening receipt up to date.
⚠ Important note:
- It is essential that maintenance payments are up to date. If this is not the case, they must be settled with the Collections department before proceeding to the Hospitality department and continuing with the Service Order. The S.O. will not be opened if there is no maintenance payment.
- A legal procedure is required for exhumation and another for the cremation of remains. This means that in cases of exhumation-cremation, both procedures are required. If the procedures are carried out by the client, they must be submitted at least one day before the service, and if there are any errors, the grave cannot be opened.
Documentation for the OS
- Death certificate.
- Title of the lot contract.
- Exhumation or exhumation-cremation contract settled.
- Holder's INE (copy of both sides) or simple power of attorney with authorization to open the account and photo of the holder with their INE at neck level.
- Conservation and Gardening receipt up to date.
Important notes
It is essential to keep your maintenance payments up to date; if not, first settle them with the Collections Department.
Legal procedures are required for exhumation and cremation of remains. If there are errors in the paperwork, the grave cannot be opened.
The graves are for the exclusive use of human remains.
If the burial takes place by mistake in a grave other than the one intended, the company will provide another grave of equal value and similar location.
The costs of exhumation and handling (including a new coffin, where applicable) shall be borne by the owner or their beneficiaries, in accordance with the current price list.
