Sana: a program to accompany grief with real tools

Thanatology at the service of families

At Valle de los Ángeles, we believe that our support does not end with the funeral service.

That's why we created SANA, a program designed especially for our clients who have just lost a loved one and are looking for a way to find peace and move forward.

SANA was born from a simple idea: to make thanatology more accessible, practical, and understandable. Instead of theoretical concepts or isolated lectures, we turned it into a relatable experience that provides real emotional support during the first months of grief.

The program consists of a short accompanying itinerary that combines reflection, community, and professional guidance:

  • Two conferences on thanatology, where we addressed topics such as acceptance, managing emotions, and rebuilding meaning.
  • Three support group sessions, intimate and safe spaces where families can share their experiences, learn from others, and find comfort in listening.

Upon completing the program, participants not only gain knowledge about grief, but also practical tools to cope with it calmly and find their own path to healing.

At Valle de los Ángeles, accompanying means being present even after the farewell.

SANA is our commitment to that continuity: a bridge between loss and the possibility of healing.
